Media
Examining newspapers, as well as other media formats, we seek to interrogate the role the media has played in both reflecting and shaping public understandings of drought as a cultural and institutional, as well as natural, phenomenon, and in moulding ways of thinking about and depicting drought-affected landscapes, people and communities. We will also conduct oral history interviews with media practitioners across radio, print, TV and online.
